Prologue

Having spent the grand majority of her life in sleepy Backwater, Ohio, Blaire has lived a relatively boring life alongside her twin sister, Rinny and their suburban family. Surprisingly, both of their parents are still alive and healthy with a retirement plan steadily coming into view as they reach their late-40's. Most any and all strife in Blaire's life has come from her own actions - perhaps a defining factor to how she is now. As both her and her sister developed into adulthood, they were sent off to separate colleges to pursue their respective ambitions - Rinny with makeup, and herself in theater. She was destined to become an actress that would inspire millions.

Destiny had other plans, though, because midway through her second year in college, Rinny disappeared without a trace.

​

In the weeks leading up to the disappearance, Rinny had dropped out of her college due to bad grades - a fact Blaire had ribbed her on quite a lot in the following weeks. Unbeknownst to her, things had been steadily taking a decline for her sister while she focused on her own grades. It all came to a halt one night while she was speaking to her on the phone.

Mid-sentence, Rinny simply ceased to exist. Her voice was gone, and the phone went silent. Initially, Blaire thought the woman had just gotten bored talking and hung up, but the next day she received another call, though this one was from her parents. They couldn't find her anywhere.

​

Blaire's own dismay rose in the following months, but she still had her work at college. The event barely affected her grades, but she grew reckless. She got herself into trouble more and more, until one night, she pulled something that merited a school-wide response. She was expelled for misbehavior and sent packing home, much like her sibling had been seemingly forever ago.

​

Shortly after returning home, there was another disappearance. An old friend from middle school, whom she spoke to off and on also vanished. For the first time in her life, she felt completely and utterly helpless to alter the events around her.

​

She took them for granted, and they were gone.

​

Really, truly gone from this world.

​

Her life was effectively out of her hands. Much to her grieving parents' dismay, Blaire spent most of her time out and about - partying, searching for answers. But nothing came up until one night.

​

Stressed, dismayed, and perhaps a bit tipsy, Blaire had been blowing up Rinny's old number in hopes that somehow, she'd pick up. Of course there was no answer. In a moment of utter frustration, Blaire chucked her phone into the lake near her house. She regret her decision immediately, and wished for it to come back - surprisingly, it did just that!

Somehow, she used magic. She was capable of magic. This changed everything.

​

Things got worse and better. Things started to slowly make sense, and ultimately, she found a purpose again. Rinny hadn't run away, and she hadn't been kidnapped. Something magical happened to her.

​

And Blaire would do everything she could to figure out what. One week later, the same thing happened to her that happened to both Rinny and Alexander.

​

She vanished into another dimension.
