Miscellaneous Magic

Base Mana Manipulation and every other spell that Lorne has acquired that doesn't quite fit the bill anywhere else.

Batwings: The Combine spell Batwings allows a mage to mutate the bones around their shoulder blades to protrude a massive set of bats wings, which are iron in toughness that scales to cobalt by expert mage. At mage, these wings will only allow their user to blow gusts of wind at targets in front of them (barely enough to knock down an average person) and glide around the air to negate fall damage. Upon reaching expert mage, the gusts of wind become strong enough to destroy Iron, and allow the caster to fly up to 40 feet in the air at x1.75 human movement speed.

Dark Monument: This spell is a high mage and high grade Necromancy spell with multiple parts to it. On the first turn the spell forms a Obelisk made out of black bones, these black bones uproot from the ground and seamlessly fuse together to form an obelisk standing about 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide. This Obelisk has the toughness of Titanium and will last indefinitely unless the mage runs out of mana to fuel it or the obelisk is destroyed and can be created anywhere within 40 feet of the caster. From this Obelisk is radiated on the first turn a life draining and magical draining aoe effect. Within a 10 foot radius of this monolith, weak soul fire rages; these flames are ethereal, and hard to see, but a visual disturbance around the AoE of the monolith is visible. Mages of High Mage or below will be affected if stepping within this radius; their physical stamina and energy will slowly drain (equal to as if they were running at top speed while simply remaining IDLE within the flames), and they will also feel a great discomfort. On turn 2 the Obelisk spawns a TOMB GUARDIAN.

A Tomb guardian is a 6 foot tall ghost that is cloaked in a pure black soul fire, that is a concentrated version of the aura produced by the Obelisk, due to its high concentration the draining effect produced by the creature is accelerated and it also produces burn damage on anyone who gets in close and stays close. The ghost can project this highly concentrated aura 5 feet out from its body with the drain increasing the closer someone gets to the ghost. Due to this being a ghost they are immune to normal physical damage dealing attacks and must be targeted via magic. This Guardian is limited to a 40 foot Radius of the Obelisk and if it is destroyed it may respawn at the obelisk instantly without delay, although it costs mana to recreate them. Mana Platform/Wall: Conjures a thin platform/wall of mana weaker than the typical Mana Pane, but acts as a fixated point allowing to suspend in the air at any height. However, these constructs being much weaker means they can be destroyed by other spells with relative ease. Up to two can be conjured at once.

Elastic Mana: Elastic Mana is created by, essentially, allowing one's mana to stagnate through an object or body part for a few seconds and then repeatedly reversing the flow until it begins to harden. When done properly, this creates a thick layer of rubbery mana that coats small objects or parts of the body. While active, Elastic Mana causes things to bounce or jump with 2x as much force as they normally would. Likewise, this also acts as a cushion to particularly nasty falls up to 40 feet, forces up to x2.5 human strength, and attacks strong enough to pierce iron. Upon reaching one of these threshholds, the mana will tear apart, granting the caster no bounce or impact dampening.

(Upgrade to Elastic Mana) - Spring Step: With the method of weaving now improved, Elastic Mana can now cover a surface equal to the size of an average human body. Spring Step not only causes things to bounce or jump with 3x as much force, speed, and height as they normally would, but a surface coated with Spring Step may send out a rippling wave of Antimagic in all directions, which disperses after 15 feet. Spring Step mana is incredibly buoyant as a whole, allowing one to stand and move on top of liquids as though it were solid ground, granted that nothing is trying to pull them underneath. Both the bouncing and the rippling effect can be toggled on and off at will. Spring Step has also received an improvement as far as its defensive capabilities; forces up to x3 human strength and Cobalt attacks are either dampened or reflected altogether, while damage from falls of up to 50 feet are cushioned to cause no damage. Any more force will result in the mana ripping apart and failing. Negation scales to High Mage, but overall protection remains as-is.

Mana Net: Manifests a bundle of mana that can either be shot out or manually thrown similar to a standard Spark, which expands to resemble a net. While the actual toughness rating is only Aluminum, the material itself is very sticky and difficult to pull off. Much like an actual net, the edges are heavy and tend to wrap around whatever they hit. With Vajra, Lorne is able to manifest Mana Net in place of a regular shot with no other projectiles. Doing this causes the net to fly with the same range and speed of a regular arrow, though the limit remains at 1 net active at a time and the net can only fire up to 20 feet away before dissipating.

Ignis Shot: Any standard arrow manifested with Vajra can now be pumped full of antimagic prior to being fired, which causes the projectile to emit a 3x3 foot cloud of negating smoke for 3 rotations after being fired. This smoke lingers in the air for 3 full post rotations after passing by. Spells of Expert Mage and below are gradually negated should they enter the smoke, and being shot by the arrow itself may instantly negate any spell it should come into contact with. Should the arrow strike a mage, it will prevent them from casting any spells altogether for the duration of it's life. Scales to High Mage.
