Riptide Physique: Riptide Physique: With bodies built to withstand the toughest currents and the battering of the ocean floor, not only does a Tidetamer boast flesh and muscle that is on par with a solid Iron hull, but they also have x2 the Physical Endurance of your average human.

Breath of the Ocean: By inhaling for at least 5 seconds, a Tidetamer is capable of holding his or her breath for up to 30 minutes comfortably, or 60 minutes before losing consciousness. Because this is done on a single recycled breath, anything that would cause them to lose their air will drop this time to regular human breathing times, however.

The Tidetamer

Nobody knows quite why, but nearly all human children born in the town of Waikaii seem to have a special affinity with the ocean. Some theorize that they are born with a blessing from the sea herself; while others speculate it a result of age-old crossbreeding with the feral monsters that exist deep within their island home.

Regardless of the cause, a Tidetamer's abilities make for them to be excellent sailors and even better divers - their abilities often rivaling even the best of the latter group.
